Muni Shri Kshamasagar Ji cared deeply about the development of youth. He believed that career and character should go hand in hand. He felt happy with the achievements of youth and encouraged them to build a strong moral foundation.
With this vision, the Young Jaina Award is organised for the talented and accomplished youth of the Jain community.

The Young Jaina Award was instituted to honour the vision of Pujya Muni Shri Kshamasagar Ji Maharaj, who believed that the true identity of a young person is defined not only by academic excellence, professional success, or social position, but also by character, compassion, sensitivity, and human values.
Muni Shri encouraged young people to excel in every field of life — to become successful doctors, engineers, administrators, entrepreneurs, or professionals. At the same time, he reminded them that before any title or achievement, they are first and foremost human beings. Success acquires its true meaning only when it is accompanied by kindness, empathy, integrity, and a commitment to the welfare of others.
According to his philosophy, education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge or qualifications. True education is transformative. It shapes character, refines thoughts and emotions, instils a sense of purpose, and nurtures responsibility towards society. An education that does not enrich one's consciousness and conduct remains incomplete.
The Young Jaina Award, therefore, is much more than recognition for a single accomplishment. It acknowledges a young person's achievements while expressing faith in their potential to cultivate even greater virtues and make meaningful contributions to society in the years ahead. It is both an appreciation of present excellence and an encouragement for continued personal growth.
Inspired by this vision, the Young Jaina Award seeks to promote excellence together with self-development, ethical leadership, human values, social responsibility, and a spirit of service. It is not merely an award, but a reminder that the highest measure of success lies in becoming not only accomplished, but also a compassionate and responsible human being.
