The Young Jaina Award (YJA) was instituted to recognize and encourage meritorious Jain students across the country. Since its inception, YJA has evolved into a prestigious platform celebrating academic excellence, competitive success, and holistic development.

About Young Jaina Award
There is one or more qualities in each one of us. Motivation, encouragement, and guidance can help discover and foster these qualities and talents.
The Young Jaina Award is one such motivation. Its main objective is to inculcate cultural and moral values along with academic excellence. This award encourages young students to strive for continuous all-round development.
With the blessings of Munishri Kshamasagar Ji, disciple of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji, the Young Jaina Award was launched in the year 2001 at Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, on the auspicious occasion of the 2600th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir Swami.
Every year, the award receives an overwhelming response from students across the country and has become one of the most respected recognitions for young Jains.
यंग जैना अवार्ड का उद्देश्य
हम निरन्तर आगे बढ़ें। खूब पढ़ें-लिखें और नयी ऊँचाइयों को हासिल करें। जैसे हम कल थे उससे बेहतर आज हों, और कल उससे भी बेहतर होने की कोशिश करें। मुनिश्री क्षमासागर जी का यही मानना था। हम अगर स्टूडेंट हैं तो बेहतर स्टूडेंट बनें, अगर पुत्र हैं तो एक बेहतर पुत्र बनें, बेहतर डॉक्टर, साइंटिस्ट, इंजीनियर, एक बेहतर देशवासी, और एक बेहतर इंसान बनें।
निरन्तर प्रगति पथ पर आगे बढ़ें, पर प्रगति ऐसी जो आत्म-हित के साथ-साथ पर-हित में भी हो। प्रगति जो स्वयं के जीवन से शुरू हो और सब ओर बिखर जाए, वही वास्तविक प्रगति है, वही वास्तविक प्रतिभा है। ऐसी ही प्रतिभाओं का सम्मान और ऐसी प्रगति के लिए प्रेरणा ही ‘यंग जैना अवार्ड’ का उद्देश्य है। भगवान महावीर के 2600वें निर्वाण महोत्सव के अवसर पर वर्ष 2001 से ‘यंग जैना अवार्ड’ की शुरुआत आचार्य श्री विद्यासागर जी के परम शिष्य मुनिश्री क्षमासागर जी की प्रेरणा से हुई।
मुनिश्री स्वयं एम. टेक गोल्ड मेडलिस्ट थे। उन्हें बच्चों, विद्यार्थियों एवं उच्च शिक्षा के प्रति गहरा लगाव एवं सम्मान था। वे अपने जीवन में विज्ञान एवं धर्म दोनों को गहराई से जीते थे। मुनिश्री हर कार्य पूरी दक्षता और श्रेष्ठता से करने में विश्वास रखते थे और बच्चों को भी ऐसा ही करने की प्रेरणा देते थे। वे स्टूडेंट्स को अनुशासन, कड़ी मेहनत के साथ, बहुआयामी सफलता के लिए प्रेरित करते थे, ऐसी सफलता जो मात्र भौतिक उपलब्धियों तक ही सीमित न हो।
छात्रों को सम्मान एवं स्नेह देने हेतु ‘यंग जैना अवार्ड’ का आयोजन ऐसी ही प्रेरणा की परिणति है। यह कार्यक्रम दो-तीन दिन की वर्कशॉप के रूप में आयोजित किया जाता है, जिसमें पुरस्कृत छात्रों हेतु रुचिकर एवं उपयोगी सत्र रखे जाते हैं। यह कार्यक्रम छात्रों के व्यक्तित्व विकास, मूल्य आधारित जीवन शैली, श्रेष्ठ करियर और विज्ञान एवं धर्म के समन्वय पर फोकस करता है।
