Jai Jinendra! I am Rishika Jain, and I feel truly blessed to be a part of the Maitreesamooh family. Last year, I received the Maitreesamooh Award for my Class 12th result (98%), which was a very proud and motivating moment for me.
Right now, I’m studying Psychology at Christ University, Delhi NCR, and have already completed two internships and some research work that I’m really excited about. I’ve also been working with NGOs and outreach programs—some as part of college, some out of personal interest—because giving back to society makes me feel connected and grounded.
On a personal note, I try to live each day with discipline, kindness, and gratitude. I make it a point to do at least one small act of kindness daily and write in my affirmation journal about something good that happened. Writing poems, short stories, blogs, and exploring creative hobbies like graphic designing, dancing, or even binge-watching Netflix (with a psychology angle!) are my happy spaces. I also love traveling, spending time with my family, and making memories with my friends.
Spiritually, Jain values keep me anchored. I try to visit the temple every week, pray at home regularly, and this year I also joined Arham Yog classes and attended the Lal Mandir Swadharm camp. I truly believe the teachings of our community have shaped my values and journey so far.
Maitreesamooh holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to meet everyone again, make new friends, and carry forward the spirit of learning and togetherness!
Education
In 10th class, I scored 99% in ICSE board and was Delhi-NCR topper (though I didn't register for YJA award that year.) In 12th class, I again scored 98% (ISC board) and was state topper. I received YJA 2024 award that year in October. Now, I am pursuing BSC Psychology (Honours with Research), a 4 yr course to become clinical psychologist. I have also done online courses (IGNOU, SWAYAM) on english and coding (python).
